Sanctions Relating to Misappropriation of State Funds During Political Transitions

Tilahun attempts to construct an account of the motivations that drive destination states to choose sanctions over MLA cooperation in times of political transition abroad. They suggest that these reasons might have more to do with the self-interest of destination states and the need to bypass legitimate safeguard processes in the pursuit of immediate political objectives.
